If necessary, remove bolt that holds the lower coolant line to the oil filter holder.

Disconnect the hoses from the thermostat housing.

Disconnect electrical connector from the thermostat housing.

Note: The Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat -F265- and thermostat housing must be replaced as an assembly.

Installing

Install in reverse order, note the following:
-

Replace O-ring.
-

Clean and/or smooth O-ring sealing surface.

-

Moisten new O-ring with coolant.

-

Install ribbed belt.  See: Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair

Fill cooling system.  See: Service and Repair/Cooling System, Draining and Filling

After connecting battery, enter radio anti-theft code. Radio operating instructions.

-

Use electric window lifters to completely close door windows.

-

Then actuate all window lifter switches again for at least 1 second in "close" position to activate automatic one-touch function.

-

Set clock to correct time.
