14. Ground (GND) connection

For discharging electrostatic charge

Installed position / check requirements, see Fig. 1

Ensure secure seating of connector and secure wire with securing bolt for fuel filler tube (item 8)

After installing, check electrical connection of metal ring at fuel filler tube to a blank portion of chassis using Ohm meter.

Specified value: approx. 0 Ohm

To remove, press release ring on EVAP canister

From EVAP canister to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve -N80-

To remove, press release ring on EVAP canister

Route Ground (GND) connection as shown in figure.

First, engage contact -1- of Ground (GND) connection into securing opening on fuel tank -5- and then press in spacer bushing -2-.

Ensure connector -4- of Ground (GND) connection fits securely at metal ring -3- of fuel filler tube.

CAUTION:  After installing, check electrical connection of metal ring at fuel filler tube to a blank portion of chassis using Ohm meter:

Specified value: approx. 0 Ohm.
