Replace Clutch Vacuum Vent Valve Switch -F36-.

If specified value is obtained:

Checking voltage supply

Connect voltage tester V.A.G 1527 B as follows:

Connector

Measure to

Vehicle body ground (GND) point

Switch ignition on.
-

LED must light up.

If LED does not light up:

-

Check wiring for open circuit and service if necessary.

If LED lights up:

Checking activation

Connect test box V.A.G 1598/31 to wiring harness for Engine Control Module (ECM); do not connect directly to ECM.  See: Powertrain

Tool/Scan Tool Connecting/Test Box, Connecting For Wiring and Component Test

Check for open circuit and short to positive (B+) or ground (GND) in following wiring connection:
