Installation is in reverse order of removal.

Ensure that connector and catch engage fully (i.e. audibly).

Ensure that no cable is on gas generator.

Ensure that airbag cable is not trapped. Lay airbag cable in a loop to the left.

Tighten bolts - 3- (2x) to a torque of 7 Nm.

Switch ignition on.
CAUTION: There must be no one in the vehicle when the battery is being connected.

Connect battery Ground (GND) strap.
NOTE:

After connecting the battery observe the necessary measures.

If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 signals a malfunction after assembly, use vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system
VAS 5051 A to interrogate, erase and then again interrogate DTC memory.
