Use removal and assembly tool T40032 as shown in illustration and pull out differential bushing.

Note:

For ease of illustration, the subframe is shown removed from the vehicle.

Installing

-

Align differential bushing as illustrated.

Use removal and assembly tool T40032 as shown in illustration and install differential bushing - arrow -.

Note:  

^

Install from the front.

^

Outer ring of bushing flush with sleeve on subframe.

-

Position rear crossmember on rear final drive and tighten combi bolts.

-

Bolt rear crossmember to subframe.

-

Bolt front support to rear final drive.

-

Bolt drive shaft to rear final drive.

-

Remove engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A.
