Trims, removing

Right -A- pillar trim
-

A- pillar trim removed

-

Pull off door seal in area of -A- pillar trim.

-

Unscrew hex nut-7-.

-

Drill off hollow rivet heads on the side (3x), knock out shanks and detach trim.

Roof frame trim
-

Roof frame trim removed.

-

Before dismantling, remove left and right -A- pillar trim.

-

To remove, unscrew hex nuts -3- and remove trim.

6.5 Nm

Hollow rivet

Left -A-pillar trim

Removal as for right trim.

Pull off door seal in area of -A- pillar trim and remove -A- pillar trim.

Unscrew hex nut -6-.

-

Drill off the rivet heads of hollow rivets -2- and -7- and knock out the rivet shanks.

-

Detach panel -1-.

-

The upper and lower retaining clamps -3- must be movable so as to allow equalising of dimensional deviations.
