  Note
t  The impact absorber is self-adjusting, i.e. it can provide compensation for height tolerances between the cross member and the impact absorber when screwing in the bolt.
t  In this way, the cross member is automatically held and fixed in the previously set position at the front when screwing in the bolts -1-.
1 - Bolt
q   23 Nm
2 - Lower drive bushing
q   Plastic part pressed into adjusting screw
q   No replacement part
3 - Lower adjusting screw
q   Screw in fully before fitting the bumper cross member but do not tighten.
q   Left-hand thread
q   No replacement part
4 - Lower threaded bushing
q   Secured with locking pin to stop it falling out
q   No replacement part
5 - Locking pin
q   No replacement part
6 - Impact absorber
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
7 - Upper threaded bushing
q   Secured with locking pin to stop it falling out
q   No replacement part
8 - Upper adjusting screw
q   Screw in fully before fitting the bumper cross member.
q   Right-hand thread
q   No replacement part
9 - Cover
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
10 - Nut
q   Part of scope of delivery of cross member
11 - Upper drive bushing
q   Plastic part pressed into adjusting screw
q   No replacement part
12 - Cross member
