Removing and installing convertible top compartment lid lock
Removing and installing convertible top compartment lid lock
   
Removing
–  Move convertible top to centre position.
–  Remove front trim of convertible top compartment unit.
–  Mark the position of the convertible top box lid lock motor -V222- prior to removal.
–  Pull the locking spring out of the ball socket and press the connecting rod off the ball stud (version 1) or detach the retaining clips and press the connecting rods off the guide pins (version 2).
–  Unplug the connector.

–  Screw out the bolts -arrows-.
–  Take out convertible top box lid lock motor -V222-/convertible top box lid released switch -F293-.
Installing
–  Attach the motor in line with the marks made beforehand and tighten the bolts.
Tightening torque → Chapter
  A61-10030
