Additional safety precautions for roll-over protection system |

| Testing, removing, installing and repair work may only be performed by qualified personnel. |

| Always disconnect power supply when working on roll-over protection system. |
t
| Following retraction, there must be approx. 1-2 mm clearance beneath the roll-over bar. |

| There must not be anybody in the vicinity of the roll-over bar (safety distance approx. 1 m) when performing the final control diagnosis. |
t
| There must not be anyone in the vicinity of the roll-over bar (safety distance approx. 1 m) when connecting the battery. |
t
| Roll-over bar must always be installed immediately after removal from transportation container. |
t
| The roll-over bars must never be left unattended. |
t
| Following removal, roll-over bar must be stored in horizontal position. |
t
| Never dismantle or repair roll-over bar. Always use new components. |
t
| Do not re-install a roll-over bar which has been dropped onto a hard surface or shows signs of damage (particularly at solenoid switch). |
t
| When performing the final control diagnosis, the flap for the roll-over bar must have been clipped in and there must not be any objects lying on the flap. |
t
| Do not carry out repair work on the lid of the convertible roof compartment in the area of the flap or at the flap for the roll-over bar. |
t
| When installing, fit the necessary spacers. |
t
| Always remove the roll-over bars when performing body repairs in the area of the roll-over bars. |
t
| After performing body repairs in area of roll-over bar, check body for weld spatter, deformation and abrasion by comparing to opposite side. |
