t  As of chassis number “400000” in Model Year 2005 (Saloon and Avant) and “012913” in Model Year 2005 (Cabrio) → Part catalogue, vehicles have been fitted with a modified sunlight penetration photosensor -G107- and a modified operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255-. Operating and display units, Climatronic control unit -J255- with part no. up to index “AH” are only to be combined with the sunlight penetration photosensor -G107- with part no. 8E0 907 539, fitted on vehicles up to chassis number “399999” in Model Year 2005 (Saloon and Avant) and “012912” in Model Year 2005 (Cabrio) → Parts catalogue. Operating and display units, Climatronic control unit -J255- with part no. as of index “AJ” are only to be combined with the sunlight penetration photosensor -G107- with part no. 8P0 907 539, fitted on vehicles as of chassis number “400000” in Model Year 2005 (Saloon and Avant) and “012913” in Model Year 2005 (Cabrio) → Parts catalogue.
t  In the event of incorrect assignment between the sunlight penetration photosensor -G107- and the operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255-, the operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255- cannot evaluate the signal from the sunlight penetration photosensor -G107- and there will be problems with air conditioner control.

–  Carefully prise cover -A- in direction of arrow out of windscreen defroster vent.
–  Screw out bolt -B-.
–  Take sunlight pentration photosensor -G107- out of windscreen defroster vent.
–  Secure connector -C- to stop it sliding into dash panel and unplug it from sunlight penetration photosensor -G107-.

–  Prise sunlight pentration photosensor -G107--B- out of windscreen defroster vent.
  Note
The sunlight penetration photosensor -G107--B- is clipped into the defroster vent.
–  Secure connector -C- to stop it sliding into dash panel and unplug it from sunlight penetration photosensor -G107--B-.
