1 - Air conditioner unit
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter
2 - Coolant pipe
q   Return
3 - Coolant pipe
q   Supply
4 - Holder for coolant pipes
5 - Bolt
6 - Cover for coolant pipes
7 - Clips
q   Replace
q   Ensure proper fit
q   Bolt tightening torque 2.5 Nm
8 - Sealing ring
q   Replace
9 - Heating system heat exchanger
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
10 - Cover
q   Only fitted on vehicles with air conditioner unit with opening but no auxiliary heater element
q   The cover is the same as the end cover for the auxiliary heater element -Z35-, however the connector penetrations are provided with an air-tight seal.
11 - Auxiliary heater element -Z35-
q   Only intended for vehicles with diesel engine not fitted with a fuel-driven supplementary heater → Chapter
q   Function, removing and installing → Chapter
q   As of the start of 2003, modified heater elements have gradually been introduced (slightly different component width and 6 instead of 7 heater elements). These elements have a different part number, however both versions can be fitted as the air distributor housings are not being modified at present → Parts List
12 - Sealing plug
q   Only fitted on vehicles without “glove box cooling” as optional extra
13 - Air duct to glove box
q   Only fitted on vehicles with “glove box cooling” as optional extra
14 - Connection for condensate drain
q   Leave the condensate drain in the vehicle on removing the air conditioner unit
