1 - Air conditioning system compressor regulating valve -N280-
q   Checking actuation and operation → Chapter → Anchor1)
2 - Compressor
q   Detaching compressor from holder/re-attaching → Chapter and → Anchor1)
q   When installing refrigerant pipes and corresponding holder, make sure there is sufficient distance between belt, holder and pulley.
q   Type of compressor differs depending on engine (attached to right or left of engine, 6-cyl. diesel or petrol engine) → Parts List
q   Different types of compressor are fitted depending on country version (e.g. “Denso” type designation “6 SEU” for Europe and “7 SEU” for hot countries) → Parts List
3 - Pulley/compressor drive unit to engine
q   Replacing pulley → Chapter
q   Removing and installing poly V-belt → Anchor1) and → Engine, mechanics; Rep. Gr.13
q   Poly V-belt assignment → Parts List
q   Checking/replacing compressor drive unit → Chapter
  Note
t  A rubber element is fitted between pulley/drive unit and drive shaft of compressor to protect belt/drive gear unit in the event of compressor blockage or stiffness.
t  If the compressor is not operating smoothly, the rubber element interrupts power transmission to the compressor.
t  A rubber element is fitted between the engine and compressor to protect the drive gear unit in the event of compressor blockage or stiffness.
t  The rubber element absorbs any vibration occurring during compressor operation (damper function in the case of torque fluctuations).
