1 - 10 Nm
2 - Toothed belt cover (top)
q   Types differ depending on version
3 - 50 Nm + turn 90° further
q   Renew
q   Use counterhold tool -3036- when loosening and tightening
4 - Camshaft sprocket
q   Installation position fixed by Woodruff key → Item
q   Removing and installing → Chapter „Renewing exhaust camshaft oil seal“
5 - 10 Nm
q   Install using locking fluid; for locking fluid refer to → Parts catalogue
6 - Toothed belt cover (rear)
7 - Woodruff key
q   Check for firm attachment
8 - 23 Nm
9 - Semi-automatic tensioning roller
10 - Coolant pump
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
11 - O-ring
q   Renew
12 - 23 Nm
13 - Idler roller
14 - 15 Nm
15 - 33 Nm
16 - Idler roller
17 - Sealing flange
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
18 - Crankshaft sprocket
q   Contact surface between sprocket and crankshaft must be free of oil
q   Can only be installed in one position
19 - 90 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) further
q   Renew
q   Do not lubricate with oil
q   Use counterhold tool -3415- when loosening and tightening
20 - Toothed belt
q   Before removing, mark direction of rotation with chalk or felt-tipped pen. If the belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage.
q   Check for wear
q   Do not kink
q   Removing → Chapter
q   Installing (adjusting valve timing) → Anchor
q   Detaching from camshaft sprocket → Chapter
21 - Toothed belt cover (bottom)
22 - Cap for toothed belt cover (top section)
q   Types differ depending on version
