Part 1
1 - Cap
q   For vibration damper
2 - 10 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) further
q   Renew → Electronic parts catalogue
3 - Vibration damper
q   With pulley for poly V-belt
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
4 - 10 Nm
q   Apply locking fluid when installing; refer to → Electronic parts catalogue
5 - 40 Nm
6 - Noise insulation
7 - Toothed belt cover (top)
q   Engage carefully in centre toothed belt cover when installing
8 - Toothed belt cover (centre)
9 - Toothed belt cover (bottom)
10 - 10 Nm
q   Apply locking fluid when installing; refer to → Electronic parts catalogue

   
Part 2
1 - 120 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) further
q   Renew
q   Do not lubricate with oil
q   Use counterhold tool -3415- when loosening and tightening → Chapter
2 - 20 Nm
3 - Idler roller
4 - 20 Nm + 45° (1/8 turn) further
5 - Tensioning roller
6 - Toothed belt
q   Before removing, mark direction of rotation with chalk or felt-tipped pen. If the belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage
q   Check for wear
q   Removing → Chapter
q   Installing (adjusting valve timing) → Anchor
7 - 25 Nm
8 - Camshaft sprocket
q   For exhaust camshaft
q   Mark installation position
9 - 25 Nm
10 - Camshaft sprocket
q   For inlet camshaft
11 - 100 Nm
q   Use counterhold tool -T10051- when loosening and tightening → Chapter „Removing and installing camshafts“
12 - 100 Nm
q   Use counterhold tool -T10051- when loosening and tightening → Chapter „Removing and installing camshafts“
13 - Hub for exhaust camshaft
q   Different types depending on production version
q   To remove, use puller -T10052- → Chapter „Removing and installing camshafts“
14 - Hub for inlet camshaft
q   With sender wheel for Hall sender -G40-
q   To remove, use puller -T10052- → Chapter „Removing and installing camshafts“
15 - Toothed belt cover (rear)
16 - Rubber grommet
q   Renew if damaged
17 - 10 Nm
q   Apply locking fluid when installing; refer to → Electronic parts catalogue
18 - O-ring
q   Renew
19 - Coolant pump
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
20 - 15 Nm
21 - Crankshaft sprocket
q   Contact surface between sprocket and crankshaft must be free of oil
q   Can only be installed in one position
22 - Idler roller
23 - 40 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) further
q   Renew
