General notes
Please observe the instructions in the → Owner's Manual.
For safety reasons, damaged wheel electronics or valves must be renewed.
Do not use steam cleaners or a powerful jet of compressed air for cleaning wheel electronics.
The wheel electronics must be renewed if tyre sealant has been applied, as liquid deposits on the pressure sensor could lead to incorrect displays.
The tyre pressure monitoring system monitors the inflation pressure of the tyres on the four road wheels while the vehicle is moving.
If wheels are changed round to different positions on the vehicle, if different wheels are fitted, or if the wheel pressure sensors are renewed, the new status of the system must be confirmed via the steering column switch or the operating unit in the centre console. The wheel sensors must also be re-adapted accordingly to match the system.
  Note
After changing wheels (including wheel electronics), for instance from summer to winter tyres, the tyre pressures must be checked and the wheel electronics re-adapted to the control unit.
A fault may be detected and registered in the fault memory:
If fewer than three wheels are fitted with wheel electronics.
If winter tyres without wheel electronics are fitted. (In this case the yellow warning lamp will light up in the instrument cluster; this cannot be deactivated via the system.)
