Removing and installing trailer detector control unitJ345
Removing and installing trailer detector control unit -J345-
   
Removing
Fitting location: in luggage compartment (left-side) behind side trim in base retainer.
–  To renew control unit, select the “Replacement” function for the appropriate control unit in “Guided Functions” mode → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
–  Remove luggage compartment side trim (left-side) → Rep. Gr.70.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove base retainer.
–  Unplug electrical connectors.

–  Release mounting plate -1- at base retainer and pull out mounting plate -arrow-.
–  Release trailer detector control unit -J345--item 2- from mounting plate -arrow-.
–  Remove the trailer detector control unit.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Install luggage compartment side trim (left-side) → Rep. Gr.70.
