Removing and installing side window - Avant
Installing side window
  • ‒ Trim adhesive bead of side window to approx. 2 mm.
  • ‒ Trim adhesive bead at window flange.
 
A64-0005
  • ‒ → Apply adhesive sealant centrally all round residual material on window.
  • ‒ Dimension -a- = 12 mm+2 mm
  • ‒ Dimension -b- = 8 mm+3 mm
Important
Do not prime bonding surfaces and do not treat with cleaning fluid.
Windscreen must be inserted within 10 minutes, otherwise the adhesive properties of the adhesive sealant will be impaired.

  • ‒ → Position window -2- parallel and press the two retainers -arrows- into rear roof strip at D-pillar.
  • ‒ Align window with opening.
  • ‒ Use hollow rivet -1- to attach window holder to C-pillar.
  • ‒ Fit C-pillar trim.
  • ‒ Setting time 4 hours.
