Important
  • ‒ Disconnect battery earthing strap/cable.
  • ‒ Wheels must be facing straight ahead.
  • ‒ Remove airbag unit
  • ‒ Remove steering wheel.

  • ‒ Unscrew bolts -5- (4x) of functional unit -6-.
  • ‒ Unscrew bolts -7- (4x) of coil connector -8-.
Important
Steering wheel and coil connector are only to be removed with wheels facing straight ahead. The coil connector must not be twisted after removal.
  • ◆ Should it nevertheless inadvertently be turned centre position is to be determined prior to installation.
  • ◆ In centre position it must be possible to turn coil connector approx. 3 1/2 turns to either side.
