Servicing ESP hydraulic unit
Basic setting
  • ‒ Connect fault reader V.A.G 1551 or V.A.G 1552.

Display group 2: Actuation of ESP hydraulic pump -V156

Electronic stability program hydraulic pump -V156 is actuated to bleed the hydraulic system.

  • ‒ Connect V.A.G diagnosis tester.
 
→ Indicated on display:
V.A.G

1) Displayed alternately

  • ‒ Switch the ignition on.
  • ‒ Switch on the printer by pressing the Print key on the fault reader.
  • ‒ Press key -1- for "Rapid data transfer" operating mode.
  • ‒ Enter address word 03 for brake electronics and confirm the entry with the Q key.
  • ‒ Press ⇒key.

Rapid data transfer     HELP
Select function XX
  • ‒ Press 1 twice to select the function "Login procedure".
 
→ Indicated on display:

  • ‒ Confirm input with Q key.

Enter code number XXXXX
  • ‒ Enter code number 40168 and confirm entry with Q key.

  • ‒ Press keys 0 and 4 to select function "Basic setting".

  • ‒ Confirm input with Q key.

  • ‒ The front left bleeder screw must be open when actuating the charging pump.
  • ‒ Press keys 0, 0 and 2.
  • ‒ After confirming the entry with the key Q, the electronic stability program hydraulic pump -V156 is actuated for 10 seconds.
 
→ Indicated on display:
System in basic setting     2 ⇒
Bleed system    OK
  • ‒ Close bleeder screw again.
  • ‒ Go back to the initial settings of the program by pressing the ⇒ key:
