Piston resetting tool

→ Fig.1    Using compressed air to press pistons individually out of brake caliper housing

Note:

Insert brake pad -b- into the piston. Position wooden block -a- in recess to avoid piston damage.

Only one piston can be pressed out at a time. At the same time, hold other piston in position in brake caliper housing using piston resetting tool.

Note:

At the same time, hold piston in front of brake caliper housing.

→ Fig. 5    Press the piston into the brake calliper housing using a piston resetting tool.

Note:

Insert piston by hand into the bore and then insert brake pad -a- into the piston before pressing into brake caliper housing.

The outer sealing lip of the protective cap will then locate in the groove on the piston.
