→ Fig.1     Unscrewing piston from brake caliper housing

  • ‒ Unscrew piston by turning threaded spindle -A- anticlockwise and knurled section -B- clockwise.

Note:

At the same time, hold piston in front of brake caliper housing.

  • ‒ Screw in piston by turning threaded spindle -A- clockwise and knurled section -B- anti-clockwise.

Note:

The outer sealing lip of the protective cap will then locate in the groove on the piston.

→ Fig.6    Pre-bleeding brake caliper

  • ‒ Open bleed valve and using a standard bleeder bottle, fill with brake fluid until bubble-free brake fluid flows from the threaded hole (brake hose connection). Close bleed valve.

Note:

Position brake caliper as illustrated for pre-bleeding.
