1) "New" Tiptronic strategy means: On shifting selector lever to Tiptronic gate, gearbox automatically shifts up or down before speed governing limit is reached so that engine is always operating between idling and breakaway speed. Shiftdown is also automatically implemented if accelerator is depressed as far as kickdown.
"Old" Tiptronic strategy means: On shifting selector lever to Tiptronic gate, gearbox only shifts up or down if selector lever is moved to front (+) or to rear (-). If vehicle is braked to a standstill, first gear is automatically activated for driving off.
2) This code may only be used if required for test purposes. Wherever possible, DSP should always be kept activated to ensure compliance with emission limit values.
2. For vehicles with electronic throttle, except 6-cylinder TDI engines, EU-II (2.5 ltr. V6 TDI 110 kW, EU-II) with electronic throttle

"Old" Tiptronic strategy means: On shifting selector lever to Tiptronic gate, gearbox only shifts up or down if selector lever is moved to front (+) or to rear (-). If vehicle is braked to a standstill, first gear is automatically activated for driving off. If this "old" strategy is to be checked for test purposes, 00021 must be encoded instead of 00001 or 00022 instead of 00002 etc. Encoding must however be switched back to the corresponding above-mentioned code afterwards.
2) Wherever possible, DSP should always be kept activated to ensure compliance with emission limit values. Codes for DSP deactivation are therefore not given here.
