  • ◆ Universal dial gauge holder VW 387
  • ◆ Dial gauge

  • ‒ → Insert valve in guide. The valve stem end must abut flush with the guide.
  • ‒ Determine lateral play.

Notes:

  • ◆ If wear limit is exceeded, repeat measurement with new valves. If wear limit is still exceeded, replace cylinder head. The valve guides cannot be replaced.
  • ◆ Use new valve for measurement purposes if valve is replaced as part of repair work.
