→ Readout on VAS 5051:

• ‒ Enter diagnostic function "04 - Basic setting" in selection -1-.

→ Readout on VAS 5051:

•     1 -    Enter display group
  max. input value = 255

• ‒ Use keypad-2- to enter "011" for "Display group number 011" and confirm by touching Q key.
• ‒ The idle speed is increased to 1380 ... 1420 rpm
• ‒ The charge pressure control vacuum unit is actuated at intervals

→ Readout on VAS 5051:

• ‒ Check display in display zones -2- and -3-.

• ‒ → Pull dipstick -1- out of guide tube.
• ‒ Unclipcaps.
• ‒ Remove nuts -arrows- and detach engine cover.
• ‒ Remove insulation lying below.
• ‒ Re-insert dipstick into guide tube.

• ‒ → Screw out bolts -arrows-.
• ‒ Remove air duct -1- and -2-.

• ‒ → Also check whether the operating rod on the turbocharger moves
  -arrows-.

→ Readout on VAS 5051:

If the specification in display zone 3 is not reached or if the operating rod on the turbocharger does not move, or moves only jerkily:

• ‒ Check linkage and vacuum unit for charge pressure control
  => Page 21-15.
• ‒ Check vacuum actuation to turbocharger => Page 21-19.

Continue test as follows:

• ‒ Switch to "Read measured value block".
• ‒ Accelerate the vehicle in third gear at full throttle from 2000 rpm and observe the tachometer.
• ‒ At approx. 3000 rpm press the "Print - Save result" key on the VAS 5051.

If the charge pressure is not in the specified range:

• ‒ Check charge-air system for leaks.
• ‒ Check linkage and vacuum unit for charge pressure control
  => Page 21-15.
• ‒ Check charge pressure control solenoid valve -N75 => Page 21-26.

If both are OK but the charge pressure is too low:

• ‒ Replace turbocharger => Page 21-46.
• ‒ Quit "08 - Reading measured value block" function by touching◂key.

→ Readout on VAS 5051:

• ‒ Enter diagnostic function "06 - End output" in selection -1-.
