Removing

Note:

The isolating element in exhaust system must not be bent more than 10°to avoid damage.

• ‒ Remove exhaust pipe .
• ‒ Remove air intake duct to air cleaner.

• ‒ → Disconnect hose -3- from air cleaner housing.
• ‒ Unplug connector -1- at air mass meter.
• ‒ Remove wiring harness from air filter housing -arrow-.
• ‒ Pull off air intake hose -4-.
• ‒ Unscrew bolt -2-.
• ‒ Take off air filter housing.

• ‒ → Unscrew turbocharger/catalytic converter bolts -arrows-.

• ‒ → Guide catalytic converter out between wheel suspension and body.

Installing

Install in reverse order.

Note:

Always replace seals, gaskets and self-locking nuts.

Tightening torque
