Removing and installing intake manifold (bottom section)

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Spark plug connector pliers -V.A.G 1922-

Removing

–	Remove intake manifold (top section) → Chapter.

–	Detach spark plug connectors -1- for cylinders 2 and 3 using spark plug connector pliers -V.A.G 1922-.

–	Unscrew bolts and nuts -arrows- and remove bottom section of intake manifold.

Note

Block off intake ports in cylinder head with clean cloths.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew seals and gaskets.

–	Install intake manifold (top section) → Chapter.

Tightening torque
