Removing and installing crankshaft

Note

t	When carrying out repairs, secure engine with engine and gearbox support -VW 540- to engine stand -VAS 6095- → Chapter.

t	If large quantities of metal shavings or particles are found in the engine oil when repairing the engine, the oil passages must be cleaned carefully, and the oil cooler must be renewed in order to prevent further damage occurring later.
