Checking combination valve for secondary air system for proper operation and leakage
Checking combination valve for secondary air system for proper operation and leakage
   
Procedure
  Note
Fit all heat insulation sleeves in the original position when installing.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove air ducts -1- and -2-.

–  Pull back heat insulation sleeve and disconnect hose at secondary air pipe by pressing release tabs -arrows-.
  Note
Disregard -item 1-.
–  Connect an auxiliary hose to pipe leading to combination valve for secondary air and blow lightly into pipe with your mouth (do not use compressed air).
l  The combination valve for secondary air should be closed; it should not be possible to blow through the hose.
–  Blow into pipe with your mouth using more pressure (do not use compressed air).
l  The combination valve for secondary air should open; it should now be possible to blow through the hose.
If combination valve for secondary air does not open:
–  Renew secondary air combination valve → Chapter.
