Notes:

• ◆ A needle bearing must be fitted in the crankshaft on vehicles with manual gearbox. Install needle bearing if necessary.
• ◆ The needle bearing must not be fitted in the crankshaft on vehicles with automatic gearbox. Remove needle bearing if necessary.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items

• ◆ Kukko 21/2 and Kukko 22/1

or

• ◆ Puller 10-202
• ◆ Drift VW 207 C

or

• ◆ Centralizing pin 3176

Removing

• ‒ → Pull out with puller -A-, e.g. Kukko 21/2 and Kukko 22/1 or 10-202.

Installing

• ‒ → Knock in with drift 207c or centring mandrel 3176.
• ‒ Lettering on needle bearing must be visible when installed.

• ◆ Distance a = 1.5 mm
