t  Used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782-
t  TORX wrench T45

Removing
–  Remove sump (bottom section) → Chapter.
–  Place used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782- under engine.
–  Unbolt brackets -arrows- and pull off long oil supply pipe from below.

–  Unscrew chain sprocket using TORX wrench T45 -arrow- and pull it off oil pump.

–  Remove oil pump together with short oil supply pipe -arrows-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Chain sprocket can only be fitted in one position on oil pump shaft.
–  Install sump (bottom section) → Chapter „Installing sump (bottom section) - engines with moulded gasket“ or → Chapter „Installing sump (bottom section) - engines with liquid gasket“.
