Servicing diesel direct injection system
Crankshaft TDC position with engine removed

Test prerequisites:

    • ‒ Oil cleaner removed

Vehicles with manual gearbox

  • ‒ → Screw in adjustment appliance 2068 A as shown.
  • ‒ Set adjustment appliance to 107 mm -arrow-. Left notch of the vernier is reference point.
  • ‒ Rotate crankshaft until TDC mark on flywheel is level with the edge of adjustment appliance -arrow-.

Vehicles with automatic gearbox

  • ‒ → Screw in adjustment appliance 2068 A as shown.
  • ‒ Set adjustment appliance to 99 mm -arrow-. Left notch of vernier scale is reference point.
  • ‒ Rotate crankshaft until TDC mark on flywheel is level with edge of adjustment appliance.
