Testing additional signals
Testing clutch pedal switch

This signal is designed to prevent speed overshoots and jerkiness on switching from throttle open to throttle closed and vice versa when declutching. It is needed for the cruise control system.
 
→ Read measured value block (function 08) and select display group 06, engine stopped

  • ‒ Observe reading in display field 2.
     
    → Desired value: 0 0 0

    • ‒ Press clutch pedal.
     
    → Desired value: 1 0 0
    Read measured value block 6     ⇒
        0 km/h    1 0    0    000000    255
    • ‒ If desired value is not attained, connect up test box .
    • ‒ Test cable connection between test box, socket 17 and clutch pedal switch.

    => Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-Finding and Fitting Locations binder

    • ‒ Replace clutch pedal switch if cable connection is OK.
