Testing intake manifold temperature sender
 
→ Read measured value block (function 08) and select display group 07, engine stopped => Page .
Read measured value block 7     ⇒
15.4 oC    15.9 oC    16.7 oC
  • ‒ Observe reading in display field 3.

    • A substitute value of 18.9 oC is displayed in the event of a break in the cable to the intake manifold temperature sender.

    • ‒ If reading in display field 3 is unrealistic or if substitute temperature of 18.9 oC is displayed, connect up test box =>Page 23-37.
    • ‒ Pull plug off sender => Overview of fitting locations, Page 23-3.

    Check the following cable connections for short circuit to positive/negative and breaks.

    2-pin connector at wiring loom, contact

    • ‒ If applicable, eliminate cable break/short circuit.
    • ‒ If cable connections are OK, replace intake manifold temperature sender -G72.
