→ Read measured value block (function 08) and select display group 07, cold engine at idle

Read measured value block 7     ⇒
    15.4    oC    15.9 oC    16.7 oC
  • ‒ Observe reading in display field 4 (coolant temperature).
    • The temperature value must increase steadily.

    In the event of a fault, approximate fuel temperature is displayed as substitute.

    • ‒ If reading in display field 4 is unrealistic or if fuel temperature is displayed as substitute, connect up test box =>Page 23-37.
    • ‒ Detach sender connector => Overview of fitting locations, Page 23-4.

    Check the following cable connections for short circuit to positive/negative and breaks.

    4-pin connector at wiring loom, contact

    Test box V.A.G 1598/18, socket

    • ‒ If applicable, eliminate cable break/short circuit.
    • ‒ If cable connections are OK, replace coolant temperature sender -G62.
