Test prerequisites:

• ● Battery voltage at least 11.5 V
• ● Ignition off

• ‒ Pull connectors off glow plugs.

• ‒ → Connect LED test lamp V.A.G 1527 to battery positive and apply to each glow plug in succession.

• LED lights: Glow plug OK
• LED does not light: Replace glow plug

• ‒ Remove and install glow plugs with joint spanner 3220.

• Tightening torque: 15 Nm
