  • ‒ Detach floor trim in luggage compartment.
  • ‒ Unbolt cover for flange.
  • ‒ → Release and unplug connector -1-.

A20-0263
  • ‒ → Measure resistance at contacts -2- and -3- on flange:

Sender unit

Tank full

Tank empty

Fuel gauge sender -G

40 ω

280 ω

According to the amount of fuel in the tank, the resistance should be somewhere between the specified values for "tank full" and "tank empty".

  • ‒ If the resistance is 0 ωor ∞ ω, this means there is a short circuit or an open circuit in the wiring in the tank.

Note:

In order to test the resistance for "tank full" and "tank empty", remove fuel gauge sender -G and move the float all the way to its top or bottom position.
