Notes:

  • ◆ This section describes how to install the suction jet pump. Removal is carried out in the reverse order.
  • ◆ Take care not to kink pipes -1- for suction jet pump. Do not use suction jet pump if pipes are kinked.
  • ◆ Fit a new O-ring -3-.

  • ‒ Remove fuel delivery unit
    => Page 20-93
  • ‒ Remove fuel gauge sender
  • ‒ Position suction jet pump -1- in installation position in opening for flange.
  • ‒ Insert section -A- into the fuel tank.
  • ‒ Guide section -A- in the fuel tank towards the fuel filler neck; at the same time turn it through approximately one full turn in an anti-clockwise direction => Fig.1.
  • ‒ Insert section -B- (of black pipe) into the fuel tank, but do not secure to baffle housing -5- yet.

  • ‒ Insert section -C- (of white pipe) into the fuel tank, but do not connect to hose connector -4- yet.
  • ‒ Insert section -D- into the fuel tank; it should be positioned above the thick fuel filler hose in the fuel tank.
  • ‒ Connect black pipe to baffle housing -5-.
  • ‒ Connect white pipe -2- to hose connector -4-.

  • ‒ Push suction jet pump into fuel tank and towards filler neck; at the same time turn the pump through approximately one full turn in an anti-clockwise direction -arrows- .
