Checking throttle valve control unit
Adaptation of the throttle valve control unit to the engine control unit
The idle stabilisation requires the engine control unit to know the stop positions of the throttle valve positioner (V60) and the potentiometer characteristics of the throttle valve positioner sensor (G127) and throttle valve potentiometer (G69).
The learning process (adaptation) is necessary if:
-
◆ The voltage supply to the engine control unit has been interrupted (e.g. the battery disconnected).
-
◆ The throttle valve control unit was replaced.
-
◆ The engine control unit has been renewed.
-
◆ The fault number 17967 exists in the fault memory.
The learning process (adaptation process) is performed:
-
◆ Automatically if the ignition is switched on once for at least 6 seconds without actuating the starter or the accelerator pedal.
-
◆ By initiating the "Basic setting", Display Group 98, with the engine stopped.
-
‒ Select "Basic setting", Display Group 98, with engine stopped .
