2) With this fault, the engine control unit only switches on the exhaust gas warning lamp (MIL) when the fault has been re-detected after restarting the engine. Significance of MIL warning lamp => 01-3.
Exhaust gas warning lamp flashes if engine control unit detects misfires that could damage the catalytic converters.
Notes:
-
◆ For errors which may result from lack of fuel, (e.g. misfiring), the fault "P1250, Fuel level too low" is also displayed. This means that misfiring was not detected as a result of a technical defect, but simply due to insufficient fuel in the tank.
-
◆ Depending on fault detection, exhaust gas warning lamp illuminates immediately or after confirmation of fault.

Note:
The information "Fuel level too low" is stored only in conjunction with misfiring or faults concerning lambda control if too little fuel is or was in the tank. The fault is stored in the control unit as static fault and is not set as a sporadic fault even if the vehicle is refuelled in the meantime e.g. by the customer.
2) With this fault, the engine control unit only switches on the exhaust gas warning lamp (MIL) when the fault has been re-detected after two engine restarts. Significance of MIL warning lamp => 01-3.
