◆ The data transfer between control unit and vehicle diagnosis, measurement and information system VAS 5051 or fault reader V.A.G 1551 takes place in "Rapid data transfer" mode.

◆ The fault memory is designed as a non-volatile memory and therefore does not depend on the voltage supply.

◆ Faults related to EPC are additionally indicated by the warning lamp for the electronic throttle control ("EPC warning lamp") which is situated in the dash panel insert.
