Motronic Injection and Ignition System (4 cyl.)
Motronic self-diagnosis
Reading measured value block

Preconditions:

  • ◆ Engine temperature at least 80 oC.
  • ◆ All electrics. loads off.
  • ◆ Air conditioning switched off. Repeatedly press the minus key on the A/C operating and control unit until all of the displays are cleared.
  • ◆ No faults stored in fault memory
  • ‒ Connect fault reader V.A.G 1551 =>Page 01-4.
 
→ Display:
Rapid data transfer     HELP
Select function XX
  • ‒ Press keys 0 and 8
    (08 is used to select the function "Read measured value block")
 
→ Display:
Rapid data transfer     Q

  • ‒ Confirm entry with Q key.
 
→ Display:
Read measured value block     Q
Enter Display group number XX
  • ‒ Select the required display group number according to the display group overview =>Page 01-52.

Note:

Display group number 01 is used here as an example to demonstrate the procedure.

  • ‒ Press keys 0 and 1
    (01 is used to select the function "Display group number 01")
 
→ Display:
Read measured value block     Q
Enter Display group number    01
  • ‒ Confirm entry with Q key.
 
→ Display:
Read measured value block    1     ⇒
1    2    3    4

Notes:

  • ◆ In display group 00 the measured values are shown in decimal form.
  • ◆ Each time the PRINT key is pressed, the current display readout is printed out.
  • ◆ Press the C key before selecting further display groups.
  • ‒ If the specified values are achieved in all Display zones, press the ⇒key.

    (06 is used to select the function "End output")
