• ‒ Interrogate and delete fault memory . No faults must be stored (if necessary, rectify fault, erase fault memory, switch off and re-start engine, perform test drive and interrogate the fault memory again as a check).
• ‒ Leave engine idling after interrogating the fault memory.
• ‒ Start basic setting of engine up to display "Basic setting 17" => Page 01-109.

Do not proceed with the test until the coolant temperature has reached at least 80 oC.

• ‒ Read off the display in display zone 3.

• Specified values:    Test value     0 ±12o
      Adjustment value     0 ± 3 o
• The specified value in Display zone 3 can be achieved by rotating the distributor.
