Testing supply voltage of Motronic control unit

‒ Testing fuse -S32
-
‒ Connect test box V.A.G 1598/19 to the wiring harness of the Motronic control unit.

‒ Connect diode test lamp V.A.G 1527 to socket D9 (permanent positive) and in turn to sockets D11, D12, E11 and E12 (ground connections).

‒ The diode test lamp should light up each time.

‒ If the diode test lamp does not light up, check for open circuit in the wiring according to the current flow diagram and rectify any open circuit.

‒ Connect diode test lamp V.A.G 1527 to socket D11 (ground) and to socket D10 (ignition positive, terminal 15).

‒ Switch on ignition, the diode test lamp should come on.

‒ If the diode test lamp does not light up, check for open circuit in the wiring according to the current flow diagram and rectify any open circuit.
