Note:

When the engine control unit is disconnected, the learned values are erased but the contents of the fault memory remain intact.

Removing engine control unit

• ‒ Switch ignition off.
• ‒ Remove cover of protective housing for control units.

• ‒ → Carefully lever off the retainer bar with a screwdriver -arrow-.
• ‒ Then release connectors on control unit and pull off.
• ‒ Take out old engine control unit and install new engine control unit.

Installing engine control unit

Installation is performed in the reverse sequence.

The following operations must be carried out after installing the engine control unit:

• ‒ Code control unit =>Page 01-52
• ‒ Adapt immobiliser to engine control unit

• ‒ In vehicles with a cruise control system the CCS must be activated
