Notes:

  • ◆ Wheel alignment is only to be performed at vehicle kerb weight
    .

Exception: Toe-in curve adjustment as per alignment program instructions

  • ◆ Establish which running gear version is fitted in vehicle. Appropriate information is provided on vehicle data sticker => Page 44-14.

Always keep to the following sequence:

  •      -    Check and if necessary balance out camber at front axle => Page 44-33.
  •      -    Check and if necessary adjust camber at rear axle => Page 44-36 (front-wheel drive vehicles).
  •      -    Check and if necessary adjust camber at rear axle (four-wheel drive vehicles).
  •      -    If necessary, check profile of toe-in curve at front axle.
    • The tables on Page 44-44 describe the situations where it is necessary to adjust the toe-in curve/toe constant "S".
  •      -    Check and if necessary adjust toe at front axle at kerb weight
    => Page 44-46.
  •     6 -    If settings have been altered at front axle, perform zero position compensation for steering angle sender -G85.
