Interrogating control unit version

‒ Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051/fault reader V.A.G 1551 and select "Brake electronics" with address word 03.

Note:

The following explanatory notes on implementation of self-diagnosis relate to the fault reader V.A.G 1551. The self-diagnosis procedure when using the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 is similar.

‒ Go back to the initial settings of the program by pressing the ⇒ key:

Select function XX

‒ Press keys 0 and 1 for the function "Interrogate control unit version" and confirm entry with Q key.

Index 1): Indicates part no. with control unit index.

Index 2): Indicates the system designation.
