Diagnostic communication established. Control unit version is checked and ⇒ key is pressed.

You can now select one of the functions listed below. Start the fault-finding routine with function 02 "Interrogate fault memory".

The functions "Erase fault memory" and "End output" are described on the following pages.

The other functions listed here are described in the relevant sections of this Workshop Manual.

Once a function has been implemented and completed press the ⇒key to return to "Select function" at the start of the fault-finding routine.

Erase fault memory

Preconditions:

  • ● Fault memory was interrogated.
  • ‒ Press ⇒key.
 
→ Indicated on display:
Rapid data transfer     HELP
Select function XX
  • ‒ Press keys 0 and 5 for the function "Erase fault memory".
 
→ Indicated on display:
Rapid data transfer     Q
05 - Erase fault memory
  • ‒ Confirm input with Q key.

Fault memory is erased
  • ‒ Press ⇒key.

→ This message indicates an error in the test sequence.
Important
Fault memory has not been interrogated
  • ◆ Keep exactly to the test sequence. First interrogate fault memory, then erase fault memory in the same diagnosis cycle.
