4 - Bar set to current adaption value
The auxiliary heater is adapted by means of the following input values:
  A01-0131
Auxiliary heater
0No auxiliary heater
1With auxiliary heater
2With auxiliary heater; auxiliary heater “off” with “ignition off”

–  Alter the adaption value by means of direct entry ⇒ “B - Altering adaption value by means of direct entry” → Anchor.
–  Enter the adaption value.

Example:With auxiliary heater = “1”
 Keypad entry 1

  Note
The fault message “Function unknown or cannot be implemented at present” appears if an implausible value is entered.

Display on -VAS 5051B- following successful adaption. Example:
1 - Channel 18
 - Value 1 stored
–  Terminate function “10 - Adaption” by touching key.
  A01-0134
Adaption channel 19 - Radio controlled clock
This function is used to adapt the radio controlled clock on replacing the dash panel insert.
Display on -VAS 5051B-:
1 - Enter channel number
–  On the keypad -2-, touch keys 19 for “Adaption channel 19” and confirm the entry by touching the Q key.
  A01-0130
Display on -VAS 5051B-:
1 - Channel 19 reading and testing
4 - Bar set to current adaption value
  Note
On dash panel insert replacement → Chapter.
The radio controlled clock display is adapted by means of the following input values:
  A01-0131
Radio controlled clock
0No radio controlled clock
1With radio controlled clock

–  Alter the adaption value by means of direct entry ⇒ “B - Altering adaption value by means of direct entry” → Anchor.
–  Enter the adaption value.

Example:With radio controlled clock = “1”
 Keypad entry 1

  Note
The fault message “Function unknown or cannot be implemented at present” appears if an implausible value is entered.

Display on -VAS 5051B- following successful adaption. Example:
1 - Channel 19 value 1 stored
–  Terminate function “10 - Adaption” by touching key.
  A01-0134
Adaption channel 30 - Correction of fuel gauge sender characteristic curve
This function can be used to shift the resistance characteristic curve of the fuel gauge sender if the display in the dash panel insert does not correspond to the actual tank content.
Display on -VAS 5051B-:
1 - Enter channel number
–  On the keypad -2-, touch keys 30 for “Adaption channel 30” and confirm the entry by touching the Q key.
  A01-0130
Display on -VAS 5051B-:
1 - Channel 30 reading and testing
2 - Fuel gauge sender
4 - Bar set to current adaption value
  Note
t  The value “128” is the factory-set mean resistance characteristic curve of the fuel gauge sender.
t  The resistance characteristic curve of the fuel gauge sender can be altered in the range 120 … 136 Ω.
t  On dash panel insert replacement → Chapter.
–  Use the bar to alter the adaption value ⇒ “A - Altering adaption value by way of bar” → Anchor.
Or
–  Alter the adaption value by means of direct entry ⇒ “B - Altering adaption value by means of direct entry” → Anchor.
–  Enter the adaption value.
  A01-0131
Example:Resistance characteristic curve of fuel gauge sender “132Ω”
 Keypad entry 132

  Note
The fault message “Function unknown or cannot be implemented at present” appears if an implausible value is entered.

Display on -VAS 5051B- following successful adaption. Example:
1 - Channel 30 value 132 stored
–  Terminate function “10 - Adaption” by touching key.
  A01-0134
Adaption channel 35 - Correction of speed threshold for dynamic oil pressure warning
This function can be used to influence the offset value for the speed threshold for the dynamic oil pressure warning.
Display on -VAS 5051B-:
1 - Enter channel number
–  On the keypad -2-, touch keys 35 for “Adaption channel 35” and confirm the entry by touching the Q key.
  A01-0130
Display on -VAS 5051B-:
1 - Channel 35 reading and testing
4 - Bar set to current adaption value
  Note
t  The value “0” is the factory-set oil pressure warning if the oil pressure drops below 1.2 bar at a speed of 1500 rpm.
t  The speed threshold can be increased by up to 1000 rpm; entries must be made in 250 rpm steps.
t  On dash panel insert replacement → Chapter.
  A01-0131
Example:“250 rpm” increase in speed threshold for dynamic oil pressure warning
 Keypad entry 250

  Note
The fault message “Function unknown or cannot be implemented at present” appears if an implausible value is entered.

Display on -VAS 5051B- following successful adaption. Example:
