Service interval display reset on completion of service without -VAS 5051B-
t  The service prompt must be reset on completion of service.
t  The service interval display should only be reset with the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B- using the “Adaption” function → Anchor.
  Caution
If resetting is performed without -VAS 5051B-, service is automatically set to a fixed interval value.
If use is not made of -VAS 5051B-, the service interval display can be reset by implementing the following procedure:
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Press and hold the trip recorder reset button in the dash panel insert.
–  Switch on the ignition whilst pressing the button.
–  Release the button.
“SERVICE!” appears on the display after releasing the trip recorder button.
–  Press the time setting knob in the dash panel insert within 5 seconds until the message is reset to “SERVICE IN 15000 KM”.
–  Switch off ignition.
  Note
The “adaption channels 40, 41, 46, 47, 48” used to display the dynamic service values are automatically set to “0”.
If resetting is performed without -VAS 5051B-, service is automatically set to a fixed interval:
