Note:

If an aerial is retrofitted, only original replacement parts from the V.A.G range should be used, since this is the only way to achieve problem-free installation and optimum reception.

• ‒ → Mark the dimensions for the aerial bore on the rear left side panel with a felt-tip or fibre-tipped pen as shown.
      a = 65 mm
      b = 165 mm
      c = 26.5 mm
• ‒ Carefully drill aerial hole and deburr.
• ‒ Extract drillings and filings and carefully remove residue.
• ‒ Repair paintwork around hole and restore corrosion protection if necessary.

• ‒ Install aerial.

• ‒ Install connection lines and then connect.

Note:

Always ensure good aerial earth connection to avoid interference.

• ‒ → Support the earth connection -1- with a toothed washer.
• ‒ Protect rod aerial against twisting with anti-twist element -2-.
